Our excellent menu is based on traditional pub grub with a modern twist, using local produce where possible. All of our guests can enjoy their meals in a relaxed environment inside or enjoy our delightful beer garden where you can drink and dine surrounded by the Essex and Hertfordshire countryside. See a sample of our full menu opposite, this changes according to seasons and availability of produce, most of which is sourced locally.
We like to pride ourselves on sourcing locally where possible and encouraging others to do the same. Some of the producers and farms we use are, Bridget B’s, Sacombe Farm, Hertford.

Our Dusty Miller sausage is made just for us by Jason at The Churchgate Sausage Shop, Mayfields Farm.
Amwell Farm supply our fruit and vegetables; Rolls and bread are baked at The Bread Bi in Ware.
Our Fish is supplied by Stickleback in Potters bar and we only use substaniable fish and seafood sourced from our own shores.

As our food is all fresh and cooked to order we can cater for almost any special dietary requiment and with a little notice can do gluten free Fish & Chips.
